Bust Up at Chelsea Training Ground As Players Throw Punches At Each Other

With all the news coming out of the London club revolving around now departed coach, Jose Mourinho and the factors that led to his dismissal, another interesting bit of news is the bust that supposedly took place at the London club’s training ground at Cobham shortly before news about the coach’s departure started to make the rounds.

The fracas allegedly involved several first team and U-21 players, with Cesc Fabregas acting as the major player in the incident. It is alleged that the former Arsenal star put in a heavy tackle on an unnamed U-21 player. The youth player didn’t take it kindly and responded in kind which resulted in a melee that took several minutes to calm down as players from both the senior team and U-21 team got into the scuffle to try and diffuse the tension.

Cesc Fabregas is probably in the worst form of his life. The midfielder just can’t seem to get going this season and his below par form has been one of the major reasons the blues are one point above the relegation zone. When the stats for last season are compared to the ones for the current season, the difference is stark.

He made 18 assists in the league last season which was very close to equaling former Arsenal team mate, Thierry Henry’s record of 20 assists in a season. The Chelsea number 4 only has 2 assists in 16 games this season and has been dropped from the first eleven for recent matches. It will take an unprecedented upturn in form for the midfielder to match the numbers of last season.
